No they did not, that would be very nasty if they did. There are documented accounts of eating such "taboo" foods: "Road Kill" (of all types, much of it "had a funny taste"). Because these foods were "taboo" not many would, did, admit to it.
Becuase where ever they were from they couldn't eat and they didn't have a jod so they where going to other places to from a job and to eat.
All of the people were effected by the great depression because they were part of it. The poor people were mostly affected because they had no money or anything to eat or to go home to. The wealthy were only effected a little because they lost little money.
The great depression's new deal was to end the unemployed people so they can have a job to work at in stead of staying at home with no food to eat for the kids and family. That's was i think happened of the day of the great Depression.
