There are lesser black backed gulls nesting on the roof where I work in Belfast - they nest here every year. Parents are feeding them what looks like regurgitated fish and scraps that they find around the town. I have been throwing sardines in sunflower oil and cod roe (removed from tins obviously) which the chicks love, they are now huge and about 2-3 weeks old.
Seagulls eat fishes and clams.

Mostly fish, and even some small rodents. And your lunch. In some places in Vancouver, they'll take the food right out of your hand when you aren't looking.
