The Munich Pact was an attempt by the democracies to appease Hitler by ceding him the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia, in the hopes that he would end or delay his expansion. France and Britain realized that they were unprepared to wage war. Ironically, neither was Germany, but Hitler bluffed the democracies into believing it was.
Well, it was Germany and Poland who were the first to fight in it, but it was really four countries that went to war at the same time. Britain, France, Germany, and Poland were the four.

The war hawks wanted the war of 1812 because they thought it would bring freedom and it did!There were multiple reasons why the War Hawks called for a war with Britain. One reasons was the abduction of American soldiers.

The British employed German mercenaries to help win the Revolutionary War. They also believed that they were capable of dispatching of the colonists, however they were unprepared for the guerrilla warfare tactics the colonists used.
