Type 1 diabetes
I have type 1 diabetes this is a hereditary gene
It depends which type of diabetes the person is suffering from. Type 1 diabetes is inherited - and usually controlled by daily insulin injections. Type 2 is easier to control by dietary changes. Diabetes mainly affects four parts of the body :- 1) Eye 2) Heart 3) Kidney 4) Foot. It varies from person to person with diabetes,which one will be affected,reasons being hereditary,gene factor,life style etc.

1) The one, who has got family history of type two diabetes. 2) The one, who is overweight. 3) The one, with sedentary life style. 4) The one, who takes frequent diet with high carbohydrate contents. 5) The one with, psychological stress probably is prone for type two diabetes. 6) Chronic smoker are probably more prone for type two diabetes.
Of course. With type 1 diabetes, you can still do anything.
The types of Diabetes are type 1 with sub type -brittle diabetes, type 2 and juvenile diabetes, type 3 (under research) , and Gestational diabetes during pregnancy.
