You need a high temperature silicone glue to glue something to a hot glass surface. As the question has been asked in Food and Cooking categories, a common need is to repair glass oven doors / windows that have broken free from the fixing to the metal oven door.
There are kits available to help with this sort of repair. See http://ovendoorglue.co.uk for example.
A number of companies make high temperature silicone. Some manufacturers adhesive is red, others black, and rarely it can be obtained in white.
Typically high temperature silicone adhesive can withstand temperatures up to 250 or 300 centigrade.
The adhesive remains flexible at these temperatures - important where two surfaces of different material are to be bonded, and then subjected to heating and cooling. As the materials will expand at different rates, a rigid bond, with no flexibility, would in all likelihood fail.
Super glue or a hot glue gun. Basically, any strong glue will do the trick.
of course you can !ANS 2 - I don't know what 'fun foam' is - but I DO know that hot glue melts many foam surfaces.
It must be at a suitable temperature. The surfaces to be glued must be clean and grease free.
Yes, if both surfaces were cleaned and degreased before application of the epoxy.
You put it in a hot glue gun.
There are numerous formulas for hot glue sticks. Hot glue sticks can be formulated to bond glass, wood, plastic, metal, foam, plastic, cardboard and for basic applications check out a general purpose formula.
No Hot Glue Is Better
Hot glue is already melted !
Hot glue and super glue are for different uses. Both are good within their use.
Hot glue sticks are formulated to bond with a variety of substrates, including some made to bond glass, make sure you buy the correct formula. If you aren't sure if an adhesive is correct it's best to call and ask an adhesive expert to make sure you have the correct adhesive for your application.
Yes, hot glue is washable.
Hot glue won't really work to hold a bolt in place with any strength.
