For colleges and universities that grade on a plus system, the letter grade would be a D+. If on a minus system, it would be a C-. In either case, while it is a minimum pass, it is not sufficient to graduate and could lead to academic dismissal.
To be completely honest, not rude, that is a terrible GPA. Whether that's a highschool or college GPA, it's not very good. If you convert that into terms of letter grades, it's a 47%. This means you have done worse than 50% of your school. If you're definitely in the early stages of highschool, try HARDER. Colleges not only look at GPA, but also extracurricular activities, volunteering, and SAT/ACT scores. IF you have time to improve, do so quickly! Try really hard, pace yourself, and set a goal that you're determined to reach! IF there's absolutely no time left, think about Community Colleges first. This will help you bring up your GPA, and then you can consider getting into a decent college. Good luck with everything, and don't lose hope! :)
It varies a bit by the program you are in, but it can generally be described thusly:
For normal high school courses -
A - 90-100%, 3.5-4.0 GPA
B - 80-89%, 2.5-3.49 GPA
C - 70-79%, 1.5-2.49 GPA
D - 60-69%, 1.0-1.49 GPA
E - 0-59%, 0.0-0.99 GPA
For honors and Advanced Placement high school courses-
A - 90-100%, 4.5-5.9 GPA
B - 80-89%, 3.5-4.49 GPA
C - 70-79%, 2.5-3.49 GPA
D - 60-69%, 2.0-2.49 GPA
E - 0-59%, 0.0-1.99 GPA
Yeah. I would have to say that a 1.9 is a very low GPA. Yeah. I would have to say that a 1.9 is a very low GPA. Yeah. I would have to say that a 1.9 is a very low GPA.
all A's=4.0 all B's=3.0 all C's=2.0 all C- =1.666-1.7 depending on the University all D's=1.0 So it's a GPA with about a C average
Generally no. Most schools use either a 4.0 or 5.0 as the maximum value. In either of these systems, a 1.9 is a failing GPA.
2.0 is typically a C.
1.5 is typically a C-.
If you have 1.895 as your GPA that is like having a C-
It is a test where you find out your GPA (Grade Point Average)
