He used a huge variety of guns in his many movies. A few of the revolvers that I know of :
Remington Model 1858 in Pale Rider
Colt 1851 Navy in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Single Action Army (Colt Model 1873) in A Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, Hang 'Em High, Two Mules for Sister Sara, Joe Kidd, High Plains Drifter
Colt 1860, Colt 1849 Pocket, and Walker Colt 1847 in The Outlaw Josey Wales
and of course, the Smith and Wesson model 29 with 8 3/8" barrel in Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, The Enforcer, and The Dead Pool.
and lets not forget the Winchester Model 70 .458 Win Mag in Dirty Harry as he is on the rooftops.
it was a 44 magnum auto magnum, and a 42 magnum.
For the Good, Bad, and the Ugly, a Fistful of Dollars, and For a few Dollars More, Clint used his own guns which he brought to the set. These guns were Colt 1851 Navy .36 caliber pistols which had been converted to cartridge from Cap and Ball. They also Still had the Ejector Lever instead of a spring loaded ejector Rod. Also they has on each grip a Silver Rattlesnake coiled in Midstrike, to symbolize the Deadly Speed of "The man with no name". In The Outlaw Josie Wales he used 2 colt 1851 Navy pistols in .45 caliber, and had 2 .36 caliber shoulder holster guns. For other westerns like Pale Rider, and High plains drifter, He was using civil war era Colts, looking like the Union Guns which were a bit more streamlined than the Confederate versions. Basically if you get any Replica Civil War era gun Confederate, Union, Army, or Navy, you can't go wrong.
Winchester 1866 "Yellow Boy". Model in film has forend removed and has a side folding scope .

No he wasn't, he was actually the stranger (Clint Eastwood). That's why he had that dream, when he was getting whipped and in the ending that short guy said "I never knew your name" and the stranger answered "Yes you do." and while he was riding away the camera focused on the grave which said "Jim Duncan, Rest in Peace"
