Lord Voldemort becomes aware that Harry Potter has the philosopher's stone and tells Professor Quirrell to take it from him. When Quirrell tried to touch Harry, he pulls back in pain finding he cannot touch Harry without receiving severe burns. Harry uses this to his advantage and manages to keep Quirrell off him but he passes out. Albus Dumbledore arrives with enough time to save both Harry and the stone.
Harry recovers in the hospital wing and it is decided that the philosopher's stone will be destroyed.
