The final episode of The Sopranos was titled "Made in America". The Sopranos ended with a fade to black leaving viewers questioning whether the main character Tony Soprano was killed or still alive.
The last episode ended with Tony, Carmella, and AJ sitting at a table in a restaurant eating onion rings. The song "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey was playing and just as Meadow walked into the restaurant, the screen went black and it was over.
The Sopranos wasn't cancelled. The creator, David Finch, decided the story had ran it's course and was finished. James Gandolfini also was tired of playing the roll and agrees it was time to end.
The writer finished the story as he wanted to tell it. He had nothing more to add and didn't want to make up more.
Because as usual , the actors in such a successful series all get greedy and demand more and more $ per episode and they think life is greener elsewhere

My husband and I absolutely love the TV Series, The Sopranos. The song at the end of episode "All Debts Public and Private" is driving me crazy. I think it's Devo but not sure and would like to know the name of the song and who sings it. It's really bugging me. Thanks
