What happened in the middle of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'?

∙ 6y agoChapter nine is the middle of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. In this chapter, Harry and the rest of the Gryffindors attend their first flying lesson with the Slytherin's. Neville Longbottom falls off his broom and is taken to the hospital wing by Madam Hooch. Draco steals his remembrall and taunts Harry into flying after him to get it back. Harry is spotted catching the remembrall by Professor McGonagall, who invites him to join the Gryffindor Quidditch team as the Seeker.
Draco is stunned to find out that not only wasn't Harry expelled, but he was rewarded. Annoyed, he challenges him to a wizards duel in the trophy room that night. Harry and Ron sneak out of the common room but are found by Hermione Granger who tries to stop them, before finding herself locked out of the common room. They also stumble upon Neville who forgot the password and locked himself out too.
The four travel towards the trophy room but soon realise that Filch is after them and that Draco never planned on meeting them, he just wanted Harry to get caught breaking another rule and for him to be expelled. They manage to escape from Filch by hiding behind a locked door. Unfortunately for them, that locked door was the third floor corridor.
Inside they find Fluffy, a giant three-headed dog. They manage to run back to the dormitory where Hermione reveals that Fluffy was standing on a trap door, which means he is guarding something.
