if you are talking about kids from westingtown. they were dared to go into the westing house, not because they wanted to investigate. what happened was this: There was smoke coming from the Westing house. Could Sam Westing really be up there? Or could it be those kids again...? What kids you ask? The two unfortunate fellas from Westingtown. It happened on a Halloween night. Somebody bet them they couldn't stay in that spooky house for 5 minutes. ONE MEASLY BUCK!The poor kids hardly got through the French doors on the side of the Westing house when they came tearing out like they were being chased by ghosts. Chased by ghosts---or worse. One fella ran out crazy-like, screaming his head off. He never stopped screaming 'til he hit the rocks at the bottom of the cliff. The other fella had warm red blood dripping from his hands when he ran out. He survived but hasn't said but two words since. The exact words are, "Purple waves........" Purple waves.........
