Quite a lot goes on by a seder meal. The story of the exodus from Egypt is told over. special foods are eaten such as; Matzo, and marror(bitter herbs). Four cups of wine are drunk in celebration. Most importantly we thank God and praise him, and pray for our long awaited salvation.
Nothing happens as a Jewish meal that is different than a non-jewish meal. Before and after the meal, however there may be blessings recited if the diners are traditional Jews (and even some non-traditional Jews recite blessings regularly).
The Jews remember how god saved them from slavery in Egypt.

One of the foods on the Seder plate is the Z'roa - a roasted shank-bone of lamb or goat, or a chicken wing, or chicken neck. It symbolizes the korban Pesach (Pesach sacrifice), which was a lamb that was offered in the Temple in Jerusalem, then roasted and eaten as part of the meal on Seder night.
