The three main things that happen are: heart problems, convulsions and respiratory problems. As for heart problems, you can experience high blood pressure and arrhythmias. Sometimes the high blood pressure can get so out of control that it can cause bleeding in your brain, leading to death. The convulsions can also cut off supply to your brain causing brain damage or death. And respiratory problems are obvious...if you aren't breathing, none of your body is getting oxygen. Not a good situation.
