Move out and get a restraining order on him.
some serious stuff man i wouldn't go there i wouldn't even talk about there bye If the restraining order is still in place if he violates the restraining order he can be punished to the full extent of the law(i.e. jail time, fine, probation, etc.)
yes probably, the woman cannot deny she contacted the man as the police can check the phone records. if the man is only having 1 trial then i wud suggest he brings that up but if hes a having a court hearing about the restraining order aswell then i suggest he brings the phone call subject up on that court hearing
Of course, anybody can contact anybody, unless there is an actual restraining order issued by a court that forbids someone from contacting someone.
Tell him again and be more firm. And if he still harasses you tell him if he doesn't stop you'll get a restraining order. Obviously he's obssessed with you but he has no right to force you to be his girlfriend. Whatever reason you don't want to date him is your own business. Try to stay away from him. Run away from him if you have to. But it sounds like you might have to get a restraining order. If you don't call the police and get a restraining order he'll still be harassing you.
If you both jointly own a property, your ex husband or wife cannot change the locks. The only way to prevent that person gaining access it via an occupation/non molestation order whilst the divorce/legal separation goes through.
You can put a restraining order on anyone as long as you can show that they are intending to do you harm. If you mean just to keep the guy away, I don't know if a judge would go for that. I think you do have to go in front of a judge.
Since restraining orders are easy to get and require little or no evidence, as David Letterman learned, it fully depends on the circumstances. In the Letterman case, a NM woman said he was sexually harassing her through the TV. It cost him $15,000 in legal fees to get it set aside. In New York a man proved the point by placing a restraining order on himself by merely dressing as a woman. He used his own name and info on both lines.
They can request a restraining order so he can not approach them or their house, but they would need to provide proof that a restraining order is necessary. They cannot obtain a restraining order for him to stay away from their daughter. Their request would not be allowed by the court since they cannot control who their eighteen year old associates with unless they also petition the court to be appointed her guardian. To succeed with that petition they would need to provide evidence that she is not capable of making her own decisions. If the young man is a serious problem and their daughter is out of control they could seek the advice of an attorney who may be able to provide them with options available in their particular jurisdiction.
