100%. It's the most addictive drug in the world. It's instantly addictive. I have it on good authority that quitting heroin is easier. Don't become a smoker. You'll regret it.
I tried an "experiment", just because I was curious. I bought 2 packs of American Spirit Organic cigarettes, just because their $10 coupons meant that they were, essentially, for free. I never smoked before but, figured, I'd do the 2 packs, free, and my curiosity would be filled.
After one pack I noticed that I felt a strange feeling in my body and mind. It felt like a hunger but without the stomach pangs. I realized that this was a sign of addiction but I had 1 more pack to go and then, I said to myself, I'll be done.
By the end of the 2nd pack, that feeling was more clear and intense. All I could think about was how one more cigarette would probably assuage it. So I bought another pack, thinking that I'd just have a few and be done. Needless to say, after I threw it out, I ended up retrieving it, rationalizing that when I finish, I didn't care how I felt, I'd stop. After all, 3 packs in a lifetime can't do anything to me.
Now, here I am, 6 months later, and smoking about 1 pack each day. The feeling when I stop is unbearable and now my curiosity is surely filled, and I'm a smoker that needs to figure out how to stop, just like all the other smokers who probably won't stop until I have no choice, if I'm lucky.
Don't even try it.

No I have done it before and never received my lifetime supply in the mail...I still check it everyday too!
This completely depends on the price of the cigarettes and the amount that the individual smokes per day. For a gross estimate, we will say that the person smokes 1 pack of cigarettes per day and a pack costs $6.00:$6.00 x 365 days = $2190.00 per year.
No. But in 1912 cigarettes sold for a nickel a pack. Yes. In the 1950s, when one pack sold for 23 cents, there were two pennies in the space between the cellophane wrapper and the paper pack. Most parents would let their kids keep the pennies if they ran to the store to buy smokes.
as far as i know, he still smokes marlboro reds, shorts, in the box (not soft pack)
A pack a day smoker smokes 20 cigarettes x 365 days in a year, or 7300 Cigarettes. Half a pack a day, 3650 5 Cigarettes a day, 1825. One cigarette has between 1 and 1.5 mg of nicotine.
Are you that PHUCKING dumb that you can't multiply a pack of cigarettes by 364 days? If you want a real smart-ass answer if a teen smokes ONE pack how much would they pay in a year? ONE FREAKIN PACK'S WORTH! (Roughly 3 or 4 bucks).
if the average smoker smokes one pack a day it is about $8 to $10 depends on the tax
