As the drink warms, the water will evaporate, leaving a thick mess. The movement of the warmer molecules will also release most of the carbonation.

But carbonated drinks lose their fizz more quickly if they are cooled after opening, because the cooler liquid can hold less carbon dioxide in solution.

Diet Coke heats up, and all the artifical sugars in it condense, and because of the heat, there is a chemical reaction making the artificial sugars more worse than normal sugars.
