I do not believe this is true. For some people it can be harder to get pregnant at first. It can take a few months for the pill to "get out of your system." But that isn't true for eveyrone. I personally know a girl that got pregnant one day after she stopped taking the pill. This is something you should call a doctor and get more information on. But I was on the pill for about 3 years and I have a perfectly healthy baby boy who is now 2.

I have actually been told & read that women who have taken the pill for a long period of time - generally have a better chance of getting pregnant sooner - after coming off the pill. Most doctors don't even say you need to wait to try.

Sometimes when you stop taking Birth Control, the hormones in the body can be upset causing you to get pregnant really fast. In most cases it can even cause a multiple pregnancy with twins, triplets, etc. however in some cases the exact opposite occurs & even though your not taking the pill you can't get pregnant for a few months or so. Usually 3-6months. If your still not pregnant longer than 6months its best to talk to a doctor as something can be seriously wrong from you taking the pills. Also when you stop taking bc, you may start to get irregular periods, or spot alot

You will mess up your menstrual cycle and put yourself at risk of pregnancy if you have unprotected intercourse. Because of this you need to use a condom for 4 weeks.

What happens if you took your birth control and didn't start your period?

If you took your birth control correctly and didn't have withdrawal bleeding during the pill-free week, there is probably no need for concern. Hormonal birth control can lighten the amount of flow to the point that there is no bleeding. If you did not take your birth control correctly, or are experiencing symptoms of pregnancy, take a test to make sure.
