In Stave 3 of A Christmas Carol, the Ghost of Christmas Present takes Scrooge to witness the celebrations happening on Christmas Day. They visit the Cratchit family, where Scrooge sees the love and joy despite their hardships. Scrooge also sees the festive spirit in other households and learns the importance of spreading happiness and goodwill.

∙ 7y agoSCrooge is visited by the Ghost of Christmas Present who takes Scrooge on a journey across the 12 days of Christmas and allows him to see the lives of others who accept the season and who take time to be thankful for their lives and what they have even when that is nothing. He shows Scrooge the suffering of mankind because people see Christmas as a one day event yet Christmas lasts for an entire year and emphasises that so should peoples attitudes. Mote than this the Ghost makes Scrooge see that the greatest error mankind makes is not recognising "Want and Ignorance" the latter of which is the greatest sin of all as people ignorance of what is truly going on around them clouds their compassion and blinds them to the level of want that is all about everyday not just at Christmas
