you generally get insulation failure
this is why older motors with cotton wrapped windings are much larger an more efficient than newer ones with hi temp epoxy paint on the copper
the cotton has severe problems if the winding temperature reaches 250F where the epoxy can survive 500 or so
there are some made with silicone and fiberglass which can go to perhaps 800 before burnout
this is what is known as false economy
for more horsepower you can opt for more power input but you generate more heat than torque
you see the race cars with nitrated fuels where the normal 300Hp engines put out 1200Hp or so but they must be rebuilt after every 4second 1/4 mile race
you can do the same thing with electric motors and lots of extra cooling
so a 10HP motor can probably run at 15hp output for some time with an additional 10hp cooling fan if the windings dont get hot enough for insulation to fail
A 5 kW generator would turn it over but if the full 30 hp of mechanical power is needed, that would require about 30 kW of electric power from the generator.
With the upcoming and advanced technology, everyone looks out for perfection. This is the time when even engineers look out for customized electric motor design, gear design, gearbox design etc for creating something worth great performance. While having a customized electric motor design, gear design, gearbox design etc, one needs to make sure what aspects play vital role in an electric motor design. Over here we will discuss more about the various facets of electric motor design and how the design plays an important part in our electronic products.Electric motors whether it is ac motors or dc motors, both come in different shapes and sizes. For routine utilization standardized electric motors are available so that these can be used for general purposes. Apart from this there are electric motor designs devised especially for specific tasks. In all the cases where electric motor design is required, it always satisfies the dynamic need of the machines on which they are applied without exceeding rated electric motor temperature. It is therefore rightly said that the electric motor design plays a very important part as the first and foremost step in electric motor selection is determining load characteristics i.e. torque and speed against time. Along with these aspects, electric motor design selection must also be a result of mission that you want to accomplish, power availability and cost.In order to initiate the design your electric motor, you can start from a small fractional horse power ac electric motor to a 200 hp ac electric motor. The best part of getting your tailor-made electric motor design is that you have the options to change any of the values from output design data to meet the requirement of your specifications. Also, with the change in any of the values, the remaining values get modified automatically, without causing any change in the output design and performance of the motor. The advantage that user reap from getting contract manufacturing of electric motor design , gear design and gearbox design is that these can be designed as per the requirement of the machine where the machine needs to be installed. Moreover, contract manufacturing of mechanical, electromechanical and electronic products offers you the ease of minimized cost. There are electric motor design contract manufacturing companies assist the clients by offering them a strategic, integrated, manufacturing and life cycle solution for the product. The electric motor designs, gear design and gearbox design etc are developed for the engineers with the motto to get high productivity. The easy to understand designs are designed with complete documentations and include extensive information on machine theory and design. All this and more, getting your mechanical, electromechanical and electronic products designed under your thumb with the design as per your need and budget requirements. Don’t lag behind with the standardized designs that do not suit your needs, go forth and seek for the one that meets your needs and requirements.[video=]
A simple Rotary phase converter is just a motor generator set. An electric motor running on the input voltage/current/phase/frequency. it drives a generator that supplies a different voltage/current/phase/frequency. So an electric motor and an electric generator connected together mechanically, either on the same shaft, or via gears, constitutes a Rotary phase converter. the above is incorrect, the motor/generator is the same motor, just one 3 phase motor is needed, it will run on T1 and T2, and put out L1, L2, and L3. You just need to know how to wire it up and what to do to get it to spin over on simple single phase 220, it will create three phase 220.
the main reason is the amount of current flowing in the motor's winding is huge (over current) that why temperature begins to build up, continues using may end up to a burned motor. over voltage, defective bearing / bushing, shaft misalignment, defective insulation are some of the reason why motor experience over current.
A rocker arm holds a carbon brush. In other words it is a carbon brush holder. Changing over the rocker arm connections is the same as changing over the armature connections and will make a DC motor turn in the reverse direction assuming that the magnetic orientation of the motor's field stays the same.More detailDC motor having a field windingIf the stator's field is created by a field winding and that winding's connections are changed over at the same time as the armature's connections are changed over, then the DC motor's direction of rotation will be the same as before. If the stator's field is created by a field winding and that winding's connections are not changed over at the same time as the the armature's connections are changed over, then the DC motor will turn in the reverse direction.DC Motor having a field created by a permanent magnetIf the stator's magnetic field is created by a permanent magnet and the orientation of that magnet is reversed at the same time that the armature connections are changed over, then the DC motor's direction of rotation will be the same as before. If the stator's magnetic field is created by a permanent magnet and the orientation of that magnet is not reversed at the same time as the armature connections are changed over, then the DC motor will turn in the reverse direction.
If a fuse fails to blow or a cut-off doesn't come into play, the insulation on the wires will melt and cause a short circuit.
your electric fan is not working , check the fuse ,then the relay , then fan motor , one or more will be bad .
an electric motor can be build with over 2000 rpm,by increasing the supply frequency.
If the car is over heating then it could be that the electric cooling fan motor is not working so the fan can
Either 2 things...it breaks down...or it explodes
A thermostat that is stuck closed, no coolant flow motor will over heat same goes for the water pump if the impeller blades have corroded off no flow (it happens buy a Taurus those pumps are awful.)
If a fuse fails to blow or a cut-off doesn't come into play, the insulation on the wires will melt and cause a short circuit.
crack the engine block and oil mixes with water or antifreeze.
A small electric motor used to turn an internal combustion over to get the larger engine running.
A small electric motor used to turn an internal combustion over to get the larger engine running.
Yup, an electric charge is generated.
My first guess based on the lack of available information included is that the motor is wired for the wrong voltage
