As per Einstein's theory of relativity as velocity of the rod increases then its length would be shortened by a factor ./ 1 - (v/c)^2 where v is the velocity of the rod and c the velocity of light. This is known as Lorentz Fitzerald contraction.

The length increases.

velocity = distance/time

If V increases the length increases also.

How is velocity of a falling object related to the length of time the object falls?

Velocity increases but not infinitely.

When velocity may change?

Velocity can only change if the object experiences an acceleration. Acceleration can only change if either the Force on the object increases, or the Mass of the object decreases.

Doing work on an object increases the object's kinetic?

velocity increases

What happens to an object when it undergoes acceleration is it the speed or velocity that increases?

It is the velocity that increases.

Does the velocity of a falling object increase or decrease?

Velocity increases

What is change in the velocity of a falling object?

Any change in the velocity of anything is known as 'acceleration'. In the case of a falling object near the Earth's surface, the direction of the velocity is constant, and its magnitude increases by 9.8 meters (32.2 feet) per second, every second.

What does acceleration do to an object?

increases its velocity and momentum

When a mechanic increases the force acting on an object what happens to the distance the object moves?

When the Force increases on an Object, the Distance it travels INCREASES, as does its Velocity.

How does the velocity of an object traveling in a straight line change if a nonzero net force acts in the same direction as the objects velocity?

Velocity is a vector that represents an object's speed and direction, so the speed of the object increases because an unbalanced force is making the object go faster.

Rate of change of the velocity of an object?

The change in velocity is just the change in velocity. The RATE of change of velocity - how quickly velocity changes - is usually called "acceleration".

What causes change in velocity?

If an object's velocity changes -- if its speed increases or decreases or if its direction changes -- that means it has accelerated. For an object to accelerate, the sum of the forces acting upon it must be non-zero. So, in other words, forcechanges an object's velocity.

What is an object that increases in velocity called?

Accelerated body
