Your dog may be just fine. If he starts getting diarrhea or loss of appetite, or any other indicators of illness, get him checked by the Vet or just keep up with routine Vet exams and worming.

There are some parasites in dirty water which dogs and people can get. Giardia comes to mind, for one.

It is treatable but your dog won't necessarily get this.

Another thing passed in dirty standing water is leptospirosis. This is something that there is a vaccine against. Again, it's not something that your dog will necessarily get from drinking contaminated water. Both are more prevalent in warmer climates.

He/She will keep throwing up and will only drink little bits of water. Otherwise it's fine. He/She won't be able to eat food either but don't force the dog to eat.

probably because he/she is thirsty. if your dog does this too much the close your bathroom door.
