Guinea pigs are very vocal and don't mind letting you know how they feel. Like dogs, or other pets, each guinea pig is unique and character. Some will react a little differently than others, but there are some basic guidelines.
When they want something, they will make long high pitched whistles. When you get home from work or school and they want to be held, when you open the fridge and they know they are getting a carrot, or when they just need a little attention you will most likely get this reaction.
When a guinea pig is scared, they will most likely make a run for it, If they are in a cage, they will back into a corner. They will begin high pitch whistling, but it will sound a little different than their "please give me a carrot" whistle. These will be shorter and faster. My husband and I have joked they sound more like a car alarm. They will also make warning type chatters that are a bit lower. If a guinea pig is very scared and you grab it, the little guy just may bite. Biting isn't as common in guinea pigs as some other rodents, but they could still do it.
When a guinea pig is sad, you may not hear a lot out of him. If you have been very busy and he hasn't been getting his fill of lovens, he may not want to talk to you much. When you walk past the cage you could probably expect a couple of pleading whistles, but they can get a little sulky.
When a guinea pig is happy and comfortable, it is an awesome thing. My guinea pigs have always gotten weekly baths in the kitchen sink. (They make a shampoo just for them.) Whenever we are done, they get wrapped in a warm towel and I hold them in my lap and dry them. They snuggle right in and start something like purring. When a guinea pig does this, it is from down deep and their entire body vibrates with it. They will hold out their chin for you to scratch underneath. After a few minutes of this they tend to take a pretty good nap.
Different guinea pigs show their happiness in different ways. The most common display of happiness is 'popcorning'. This is when the guinea pig hops up in the air, usually several times, all four feet off the ground at once! (Mine always do this when they go in their runs on the grass for the first time that year). Guinea pigs also chirp and coo when they're happy - usually been being cuddled. Some also chuckle or brrrr when they find something funny or hear a new and unusual noise. If a guinea pig is relaxed and happy it might stretch out and not be so alert for dangerous noises. This means that your piggie trusts you and knows you will look after it.
They chatter their teeth. Guinea pips chatter their teeth a fair bit on a day to day basis. Make sure there are toys around for them to help with the constant growing of their teeth. But when a pig is mad... you'll know. Mine usually backs away from me, and chatters. Not for long... but just long enough so I get the idea.
Well, I have two female guinea pigs and whenever I put them in the same cage they start fighting. So I did some research and it said that before guinea pigs fight they usually start chattering and purring. And that was exactly what my guinea pigs were doing. So guinea pigs usually fight if they don't like each other. Message me if you have any more guinea pig or rabbit questions!! :D

Some one mentioned it is called Pop Corning and they do it when they are happy.
Guinea-pigs get mad if you are constantly stroking them or making high pitch/loud noises. If two guinea pigs are fighting they are getting cross too!
It is fine to never bath your guinea pig. They dont need a bath because they clean themselves.

You get inbreeding and sick pups.
well...if your guinea pig hasvery sensitive skin then your guinea pig will probably develop some sort of rash.....otherwise its harmless and will do nothing to the guinea pig. you can go to a vet to get the cream to help the rash heal
