what happens is when a llama hit's a bump it just ignores it but makes a burr noise and that is all it does so when you see a llama hit a bump sometimes it might do that.
If the saliva got into an open cut or sore, you could contract rabies.
Some snakes like the spitting king cobra would however non venemous snakes like the corn snake (Elaphe Guttata) don't spit as they have no venom to spit at the enemy. When a snake spits it is shooting venom at the enemy.

sadly, it is an alpaca...they are technically the same thing but one's smaller and has the money in it's wool. The other (the llama) is just furry and it spits. A LOT.
