uncomplete atoms attract each other sort of like a magnet. when they 'stick' together they are then called a molecule but there are atoms that do not form together because they are complete. they are called Noble Gases.
Fusion occurs when 2 whole atoms are combined. An example of this is in our sun. The intense heat and pressure in the sun combines 2 hydrogen atoms. The result of this fusion is a helium atom and an extreme amount of energy.
By sharing electrons in covalent bonds or by transferring electrons in ionic bonds.
a new chemical compound forms
they form elements
A compound is formed.
Electrons.
They have a covalent bond
All elements in the 7th family/group (2nd from the right) on the Periodic Table.
molecule
Charge is decreased in one, and increased in another.
Electrons.
They have a covalent bond
When two (or more atoms) join to form a compound, they actually join by sharing electrons.
It either gains, loses, or shares electrons.
It can fuse with another atom.
A + bc - c + ba
The initial atom is transformed in another atom.
All elements in the 7th family/group (2nd from the right) on the Periodic Table.
molecule
When an atom is ionized, that means that it is sharing one or more electrons with another atom.
Charge is decreased in one, and increased in another.
Whenever more than one atom combines with another it is a molecule! Even if they are the same type!
