In humans, usually nothing. They're quite nutritious. Most insects are. It's just that most people think they're disgusting.

Maggots actually have their positive uses: Maggot therapy is the process of implanting sterile, cultivated maggots into wounds for treatment and healing of tissue infections. This is a form of biotherapy.

On the flip side, a maggot infestation can create a high risk of certain disease in sheep and other animals.

if you are stranded in the wild then for a great survival tip is if there are maggots around then eat them as they give you nutrition

The maggots go into your small intestine and hibernate till they become big enough to digest it then they will move to your stomache and they will explode so maggot eggs go through your entire body then you become a living parasite and you will explode from all the puss surging through your body(:

Nothing would happen. Your body will just digest it as any other food you would eat.

You may not feel very well, or have vomiting or even diarrhea, or just some stomach cramps. If you are concerned, you should visit your doctor if your symptoms are severe or concerning.
