One can get quite sick from eating bad ham or any sort of spoiled meat. It is often obvious from appearance, smell or taste when meat has gone bad. Ham and other cured meats may also feel slimy when spoiled.
Faeces contains bacteria, no matter what the diet of the hamster is. The anus of every single living creature on the planet is the perfect breeding ground for one of the deadliest known bacteria - E.Coli. Who knew that one of the deadliest bacterias known to man actually lives inside man (and other animals)?
The bacteria (E.Coli) in the faeces will cause stomach cramping, diarrhoea, severe infections of the digestion system (intestines, stomach) and urinary system (bladder, kidneys) which, if left untreated, can, uncommonly, lead to death. There have been many deaths as a result of faeces consumption, usually young children or elderly adults.

Yes they can. It will not hurt the dog, but I would think that you would not give your dog hamster food because then you would have to go get more hamster food for your hamster.
A cat would if it got the chance and also ferrets and dogs, but as hamsters are domestic they wouldn't really be able to.
Typically a wild Syrian hamster's food does not need to be 'caught' because it takes the form of seeds and plants. They'll eat insects too, but that's usually if they happen to come across it while foraging.
Go to store and look at the ingredients of the food on the hamster food package.
In the wild a hamster would have to hunt for it's food so it is important to supplement its daily routine with fun activities where they can hunt for their food. Some chew sticks or bars that you buy for you hamsters are on plastic cage hooks rather than wooden sticks therefore vegetables and fruit such as apples and cucumber can be slid on for your hamster to try and find and remove. Also if your hamster has a toy such as a television where it is almost like a cup, this can be filled with wood shavings or shredded paper then with dry food like normal hamster food or rasins, drop a few in the toy and letyou hammie enjoy burrowing for them.
what you do is you get a little tub (like what you put your extras food in) You have to hurry but get some of the hamsters shavings in the tub and place your hamster gently in the tub plus: do not keep the babies in the same cage as the other mothert hamster mother may eat babies
