∙ 11y agoWhen soda (carbonated water) and vinegar are mixed together, a chemical reaction occurs that produces carbon dioxide gas. This reaction causes fizzing and bubbling, as the gas tries to escape from the liquid mixture. The reaction is a result of the acid in vinegar reacting with the carbon dioxide in the soda.
