It will roll around.
To make a flat map from a round globe, a projection is used.
In making the projection not all measures can be preserved and so distances will be stretched for some areas, and straight lines on the projection will correspond to curved lines on the globe.
There are different projections that can be used which try to minimise the effect on different measures.
If the sum of the digits are a multiple of 3, it is not prime as it is divisiible by 3
One cookie take it with you as you fly around the world.
Take the tenths place digit and look to the next digit to the right. If that number is 0-4, you round down, if 5-9 you round up.
Take it to vets ASAP!
You take the number to the right of the tenths place (9). Then, you round the number in the tenths place depending on the number in the hundredths place (<5- stay the same, >4-round up). The answer would be 4.3.
Distortion.
A flat map - it can be folded to take up much less space (and carried in a pocket !)
it goes flat..
A globe is a three-dimensional model of Earth or others like a planet, star, or moon. Globe comes from the Latin word globus, meaning round mass or sphere. If you want more information on a globe take a look at the link below.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Globe
If you want to see Earth as a whole, a globe (or 3-D model) is the most accurate representation because the Earth's shape is spherical. Since a flat map cannot accurately take the shape of the round globe some of the things on the map can appear distorted in shape, and can make some land masses appear larger than others when they are not.
Look at the route on a globe, the straight line route is actually longer.
it looks distorted
A distortion on a map is when you transfer information from a curved suface to a flat suface losing some accuracy. Distortion is a change in shape, size, or position of a place when it's shown on a map. . . . In example . . . Transferring information from a globe to a map
If the sum of the digits are a multiple of 3, it is not prime as it is divisiible by 3
Map: it is a 2 dimensional object.it is a representation on a flat surface.shows a lot of detaila map is more portable.a map can show either the whole earth OR a part of it.A Globe:it is a 3 dimensional object.it shows the actual shape of the Earth.shows less detail.a globe is not very portable.a globe HAS to show the whole Earth.
Since the Earth is actually spherical (or very nearly spherical, it is technically an oblate spheroid) it maps more accurately onto a sphere (or globe) than it does onto a flat piece of paper. All flat maps distort, but the smaller the area that you're trying to map, the less it's in error.
take a cap cover it with paper and paste it under the globe.
