The xylem delivers water and the phloem delivers food
the stem
A stem in a plant carries water that the roots suck up and sends it to the other parts of the plant. A cool thing you can doo to see this is take some celery, put it in a cup full of food coloring-filled water, and see what happens!!!!!!
The phloem carries the food down from the leaves. Not to be confused with xylem, which carries water up to the leaves.
chloroplast
The vascular system in plants have two components: xylem and pholem. The xylem helps in the transport of water absorbed through roots to all the aerial parts of the plant and the phloem helps in transporting the manufactured food from leaves to all other parts of the plant.
A. Absorb water and mineralsB. Holds the plant in placeC. Makes an acid that dissolves rocks
its called the stem
carries water to other plant parts
There vascular tissues in the plant whcih carries everything throughout the plant, but the tube that carries food is the Phloem.
he xylem
Phloem
Phloem
Seive tube of the phloem
The roots takes water to all parts of a plant
yes a stem carries water and nutrients to all parts of a plant and a elevater carries people to different parts of buildings
Phloem carries food .
leaves
The xylem tube carries the water from the roots to all parts of the plant, from bottom to top. This works because1 the water evaporates out of the leaves and so the water pressure causes the water to flow upwards.2 if the other parts of the plant have a lower concentration of water in them, the water will flow into them through osmosis. (water flowing from a region of high concentration to a region of lower concentration through a semipermeable membrane like the plant cells.)The phloem carries food from the leaves (and other food producing parts of the plant) to the rest of the plant, from top to bottom.
