Nausea and/or vomiting is normal after surgery. Call your dentist if it persists , but you can brush your teeth The day of the extraction, do not brush over the whole, only around it, The day after you can rinse your mouth with warm salt water. The salt water has healing properties in it, and will help clean it out and help prevent infection
I just had all 4 wisdom teeth removed, and they specifically said not to spit or use straws, smoke, etc. because it creates a suction which can remove the initial blood clots, causing a very painful condition called "dry socket". It also is hard to spit the first day because your mouth is still swollen and numb and the muscles can't perform the action that well. I tried to spit to get blood out and it didn't work out too well.
Yes, and you should avoid spitting because you may loosen the clots that are forming in the tooth socket. After 3 or 4 days, you can lightly rinse with salt water, again not too vigorously until the socket heals.
Yes, but most people are not that sensitive to blood.
yes you are going to die now =)
Jana and Jill had their wisdom teeth removed.
LOTS
They do if their teeth have impacted.
They need to be extracted, your jawline does not have enough room for your wisdom teeth and therefore behind your wisdom teeth, food is getting trapped and pus is oozing. Go to the dentist soon.
I spoke to my oral surgeon about the crowding in my lower jaw that I believed to be caused by my wisdom teeth. He said that even with the extra space I would receive from the removal of my wisdom teeth, it would be unlikely that my teeth would move back into place. There was mention of being fitted for retainers and going to a different doctor who specialized in orthodontics.
As long as you want to.
You should wait 2 weeks after getting your wisdom teeth taken out to safely play football. You should wait longer if this procedure had complications.
Anything under 13 and over 21. It depends on your hormones. Make sure you have your tweleve year molars in before you think you may be getting your wisdom teeth!
Your dentist can take a special x-ray called a panoral. This will give a good view of all your teeth, including any potential wisdom teeth. This will tell the dentist the likelihood of you getting your wisdom teeth.
Not necessarily. Teeth tend to become more crowed as we age, especially the lower front teeth. This happens in some people regardless of whether they have wisdom teeth or not. Therefore, removing the wisdom teeth, solely for the purpose of hoping to get naturally straighter teeth, won't work.
