In MA at the age of 17 there is realy nothing your parents can do but any time befor that they can file for a CHINS potition (CHild In Need of Services). If that happens you can be put on probation and it will go on your juvinial records.

∙ 14y agoActually you would get in very little trouble. I would expect that the only thing the police would do is to escort you back to your parents' house. Of course, if you have committed other offenses than running away, such as theft, drug abuse, etc., that could be a problem.
