The Gospels are the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The name of the book is the name of the person who's point of view the story is told from. These four gospels (Gospel is translated as 'The good news') tell the life of Jesus, from his birth to his ascension to heaven.

∙ 14y agoThe birth of Jesus is narrated at the beginning of the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke. When compared with the four Gospels, John is in another class. The synoptic, Matthew.
Mark and Luke, Gospels contain many similar examples, style and structure. John
contains no parables and only two miracles like the synoptic gospels. Yet it has five
additional miracles and numerous accounts that stress personal relationships.
