most of them don't, as they die extremely early. A hamster or gerbil are better as they live about three years instead of three weeks.
Ok, well since you asked what INSECTS make good pets, i would say, an Indian Stick Insect, they live just over a year, mine died on Monday :( and they lay eggs, and if you dont want the eggs, you simply throw them out side, that way they get too cold and die ( i hope, i havnt been having them crawling around my garden lol) also, if you want to get one, the tank has to be 3 or 4 times as big as them, so dont make it too over crowded :) Have fun ( although insects, they need a responsible owner who will provide them with food and spray them daily with water)
