Here is an easy way to always calculate percentages. Always base your percentages off 1%, 5%, and 10%.
In our case we have 18%, which can be composed of 10%, 5%, and 3 - 1%'s.
You can always find 10% of any number by moving the decimal point one place to the left. 5% can be found by simply cutting 10% in half. 1% can be found by moving the decimal point two places to the left.
So now we throw together our simple math problem.
Lastly we subtract.
109 - 19.62 = 89.38.
40 percent off of 109 dollars is 43.6 dollars.
30% of 109 = 32.7 therefore 30% off 109 is 76.3 (109 - 32.7)
605.5555(repeating)
75% off means 25% remaining. 25% of $109 is $27.75 .
Subtracting 109 percent from 115 gives 115 x (1 - 109/100) = 115 x (-0.09) = -10.35.
The math is (109/100)*20 = $21.8
$92.65
109 - 60% = 109 x (1 - (60/100)) = 109 x 0.4 = $43.60
It is 98.10 dollars.
$21.8 109x.2=21.8
43.6 (ie 109 *(1-.6))
First of all work out what 85% of 109 is. 85% is the same as saying 85/100. Therefore divide 109 by 100 and multiply by 85 which equals 92.65. 85% off of 109 = 109 - 92.65 which = 16.35.
