Critical thinking involves the following steps: 1. Defining what it is we want to determine 2. Putting aside instinctive, emotional responses 3. Collecting and analyzing all pertinent factors 4. Evaluating the work or the topic in its proper context 5. Forgetting how it relates only to you 6. Having an informed opinion. The first think critical thinkers do, is to attempt to define the work of art they are looking at.

Kim Langevin is from Winston-Salem, NC, so "Salem Reflections" reflects Old Salem, which is 5-10 minutes from where she lives. I personally think "Salem Reflections" is her best work ever (at least, my personal favorite). She shows previous as well as new pieces at Germanton Art Gallery, in Germanton, NC. Additionally, she has prints and original art available for direct sale. Anyone interested in her art or in reaching Kim can contact me at intel352 =AT= gmail =DOT= com, and I will let her know of your intent for purchase or communication. -Jon Langevin, son of Kim Langevin
