There are many ways Romans have written (or thought to have written) their numerals. One way is the long way>
99 = LXXXXIX
19 = XIX
Subtracting gives us the LXXX, or 80
Notice how there is no possibility of getting decimal points wrong!
Improved Answer:-
In accordance with today's rules governing the Roman numeral system 99 and 19 converted into Roman numerals are XCIX and XIX respectively which makes arithmetical operations of these numerals difficult to undertake.
But the Romans themselves would have probably wrote out 99 and 19 as IC and IXX respectively because:-
IC is a simplification of LXXXXVIIII (-1+100 = 99)
IXX is a simplifiction of XVIIII (-1+20 = 19)
So: LXXXXVIIII - XVIIII = LXXX = XXC when simplified.
Alternatively: IC - IXX = XXC (-20+100 = 80)
Roman numerals: M=1000, D=500, C=100, L=50, X=10, V=5, I=1 and S=1/2
Footnote: The Latin word for IC is "undecentum" which means 1 from a 100 and the Latin word for IXX is "undeviginti" which means 1 from 20.
99 minus 19 in Roman numerals is LXXX (80) because 99 is XCIX (90) and 19 is XIX (19). Subtracting XIX from XCIX leaves LXXX.
Minus 10 in Roman numerals is represented as "X" with a line on top, which indicates subtraction. So, minus 10 in Roman numerals is written as "X̄".
The answer is 185.....but in Roman Numerals it is.....CLXXXV
94 in roman numerals is XCIVNinety is represented by 100 minus 10. This would be written as XCIV.
XCIX - XIX = LXXX
This is tricky because 400 is shown as 500 minus 100. And 50 is going to be L. CDLIV is the way to write it in Roman Numerals.

In Roman numerals: CVII minus X = XCVII meaning 107 minus 10 = 97
If you mean 217 minus 184 then as a Roman numeral the difference is XXXIII
1900 is shown by a thousand plus a thousand minus 100. The depiction would be MCMXV.
9 - IX The Roman numeral for nine is "IX". The "X" stands for ten and the "I" stands for minus one. Ten minus one is nine. IX or VIIII.
They are: MDCCCLXV and MDCLXXXVII respectively
X minus IV equals VI (10-4=6)
