ALFCO-NY stands for the Artistic Latex Foam Company of NY. The company is now out of business. They were located in New Rochelle, New York, and were responsible for crafting the resin-based home/restaurant decor ship figurehead reproductions in the 1960's and 1970's. They also created nativity statues, as well as the pipe-store Indian statues that stood at the door. It appears they passed on the tradition of manufacturing these figures to the Formcraft Company of NY. None of their models ever got close to the precise wood-imitation replicas of ALFCO-NY.
