C. J. is the brilliant female student at PS 101. She is missing from the school Science Fair, and you go to look for her at her family's apartment on Avenue A (right).

When you are shrunk by the shrink ray, you will discover that CJ is back at the Science Room at school, where she has similarly been shrunk by her own invention. To communicate with her, you will need to recover a secret message from her from the kitchen table. The telescope can be aimed at the school to see her there (dial in 87 and 16).

To find this out, you need to know that her hero is Marie Curie (a big poster) and that she read a magazine on replacing password letters with numbers (the magazine is next to the toilet in the bathroom).

Also, you could guess, but there is a trick to knowing which letters to change: in the bathroom, if you turn off the ventilation fan (the second switch right of the counter), you can turn on the hot water in the sink and the steam will show the letters written in the mirror (a=4, i=1, c=3).
