a controlled event is a variable that you can manipulate and change or do anything you want with you want. uncontrolled event is something you cannot help. in example, if you were doing something with eye colors, you just have to deal with the eye color the person has. you cannot change it.

What is the difference between relative frequency approximation of probability and the classical approach to probability?

Relative frequency approximation is conducting experiments and counting the number of times the event occurs divided by the total number of events. The classical approach is determine the number of ways the event can occur divided by the total number of events.

How are correlation and causation similar?

both have connections between multiple events

What is the difference between discrete and cumulative distributions?

A discrete distribution is one in which the random variable can take only a limited number of values. A cumulative distribution, which can be discrete of continuous, is the sum (if discrete) or integral (if continuous) of the probabilities of all events for which the random variable is less than or equal to the given value.

What is the difference between Geometric and a Poisson probability distribution?

The geometric probability distribution models the number of trials needed to achieve the first success in a series of independent Bernoulli trials, with a constant probability of success on each trial. In contrast, the Poisson probability distribution represents the number of events occurring in a fixed interval of time or space, given a constant average rate of occurrence and independence of events. Essentially, the geometric distribution focuses on the number of trials until the first success, while the Poisson distribution deals with the count of events happening within a specific period or area.

What is the difference between controlled and uncontrolled observations?

Controlled observations involve manipulating variables and controlling conditions to observe specific effects, while uncontrolled observations involve observing natural events as they occur without intervention. Controlled observations are often used in experiments to test hypotheses, while uncontrolled observations are more common in naturalistic studies where researchers aim to understand behaviors in their natural context.

What is the difference between fate and luck in The Odyssey?

Fate in The Odyssey refers to predetermined events that cannot be changed, often seen as the result of divine will. Luck, on the other hand, involves random or chance events that can influence outcomes but are not controlled by any higher power. In the context of The Odyssey, fate plays a larger role in shaping the overall course of events, while luck can affect individual situations or decisions.

Difference between synchronous generator and synchronous motor?

ASYNCHRONOUS is a mode whereby events happens irregardless of control. SYNCHRONOUS are this same events but controlled by a timing and/or control

What is the difference between simultaneous and parallel events?

Parallel events are similar events. Simultaneous events are events that occur at the same time. Both simultaneous and parallel events occur at different places.

What is the difference between an event and an event listener?

Events are things that happen. Event listeners listen to these events and then do something in response.

What is the difference between realism and faith?

Realism is the practice of regarding things in their true nature and dealing with them as they are. Faith, in the religious sense and this context, is the belief that the true nature of things is not known, and that material things and events can be altered and controlled by supernatural forces.
