basicly your just orderd by the judge to serve your time(sentence) living at home and out of jail but depending on what u choose mon-Friday working anywhere from 2 days out of the week to 5 days! (your choice when u sign up)their are various places u can do the work release at. when u sign up at glen Helen work release center in devore they just give u a place no choice! if its far from home u still have to drive their!! for example.. sometimes you work for cal trans cleaning the freeways. sometimes water or national parks keeping them clean! or sometimes even police stations doin dirty work!! it all sux though! that's the basic 411 on glen Helen work release!
