Totalitarianism is a form of government where the state has total control over society, including political, social, economic, and cultural aspects. It is characterized by strict censorship, propaganda, and limited individual freedoms, with power usually concentrated in the hands of a single leader or ruling party. Totalitarian regimes often suppress dissent and opposition through force and surveillance.

Usually a tyrannical government has a dictator.
In a Dictatorship government, there is just one ruler who takes over that country and its people. The people do not have any rights. Their beliefs are "dictated" by the government.
Haiti has a semi-presidential republic form of government, so their "ruler" would be the president.
The first ruler would probably be Sargon, who lead the Akkadian empire.
The Fertile Crescent maintained a government based on theocracy. In a theocracy, a deity is recognized as the ruler of the government.
