A simple common user on (KAT) Kickasstorrents named "Afterlife" at the time came up with the concept HTD, that same user a few years later and given a name change and highest ranking status on site as Administrator became "Mr.Pink" .
Two up and coming members at the time Afterlife(Mr.Pink) and bubanee(Now internets No.1 music uploader) were throwing ideas about how to make the members enjoy being on the site and how to make the site stand out. Afterlife came up with the idea HTD to celebrate a 1 day of the year for file sharers(pirates) . Seemingly bubanee had one answer "Jackpot"
Kickasstorrents Site Administrator "Mr.Pink" was the creator of this day and all came about within two guys having a chat on site. Now Happy Torrents Day is celebrated by millions around the world. Wherever you speak to anybody in the p2p world every person knows that 30th March is HTD where for that 1 day of the year they can do what they truly believe in. share what belongs to them.
