There is no specific "breath holding test." The tests where you have to hold your breath are drown proofing, where you have hands and feet bound and have to bob from the bottom to the surface for a half an hour, and swim around the pool, pool comp. which is where you have your Scuba gear screwed with and a knot tied in your air tube and have to try and untie it (if possible) without going up for air, or run your hand over your throat stating that it's impossible, and continue getting your gear on. Also the 50 Meter underwater swim which takes usually about 50 seconds, and the knot tying underwater, which you should be comfortably underwater for 1 minute without breathing. You should probably get comfortable about up to three minutes without breathing, just practice outside of the water. BUT DO NOT TRY ANY OF THESE tasks without being properly trained, the instructors teach you how to hold your breath.
