NH3Cl, (careful how you write it) is nothing.

Although for most purposes the existence NH3Cl+ can be ignored, it does exist.

It can be prepared as a salt with an appropriate cation. However it is may not be very stable.

NH4Cl+ is ammonium chloride.

What is the Lewis structure for NH3Cl plus?

The Lewis structure of CH3 starts with a C in the center, representing the Carbon atom. The carbon atom has three dashes and two dots. Connected to each dash is an H, representing the hydrogen atoms.

Is NH3Cl an ionic or covalent bond?

NH4Cl consists of an ionic bond between the ammonium ion (NH4+) and chloride ion (Cl-). The ammonium ion is formed from the covalent bonding of nitrogen and hydrogen atoms, but overall NH4Cl is considered ionic due to the transfer of electrons between the ammonium and chloride ions.

What is the gas that reacts with ammonia to give dense white fumes?

When phosphorus pentachloride reacts with an alcohol, hydrogen chloride (HCl) is produced as one of the products along with a halogenoalkane. When you dip a glass rod in ammonia (NH3) and then put this through the fumes (HCl), ammonia chloride is produced (NH3CL) .

Why sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid were added in extraction and write the equations?

Sodium hydroxide was added to extract acidic compounds by converting them into their respective sodium salts, which are water-soluble and can be easily separated. Hydrochloric acid was added to neutralize any excess sodium hydroxide and to protonate basic compounds making them water-soluble as well. Equations: NaOH + HCl -> NaCl + H2O RCOOH + NaOH -> RCOONa + H2O (where RCOOH is the acidic compound being extracted) R-NH2 + HCl -> R-NH3Cl (where R-NH2 is the basic compound being extracted)

What is ammonium hypochlorite?

AMMONIUM CHLORIDE is an acid-forming salt that can help correct situations in which the blood contains too little chloride or is too alkaline (basic). This can occur following vomiting, suctioning (removal) of stomach contents, use of diuretics (water or fluid pills), or with certain stomach disorders. Ammonium chloride also causes mild diuresis (removal of excess salts and water through increased urination) and makes the urine more acidic. Generic ammonium chloride injections are available.
