How is the PS3 error code 8001050F progress going?

The WHOLE PSN is down WORLDWIDE currently at 7:02 (PST) 2-28-10

I understand it can be frustrating, and by the way I was really frustrated with it myself, but Sony is working on the problem.

I do NOT recommend playing ANY games that have Trophy's, because ALL the trophy's for that game will be deleted, I know this from personal experience with my Little Big Planet trophy's.

Go to the play stations web site to find out what the code means.

If your ps3 has a message of trophy registration error Sony will say you need to turn in your ps3 in for service this is not true i fixed mine by saving my (game data) on a thumbstick then deleted the game data shut off my ps3 then turned the main power (the switch in the back) off for a few minutes to allow the power to dissipate. Then i restarted the ps3 and copied my game data back and my COD modern warfare 2 played like a champ!

I did lose all of my trophies(only for COD MW2) but the game saved data allowed for 12 percent of them to come back upon completing one special op mission.

A quick check of the forums says that this is a log on error caused by maintenance on PSN's network.

It is a hardware failure.
