ERP: - Enterprise Resource Planning Enterprise means company should have input and output Resource means man power, furniture ect Planning :To plan those resource in profitable manner for the enterprise SAP: - System Application programming ERP is an application which can be used to automate the different Business Processes like HR, Operations, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Relationship, etc

Previously all these functions required books to be maintained there was a different database with each department.

For instance let us consider a Automobile Manufacturing Company where each and every function in the business is very critical.

to make it more clear ,

In a automobile manufacturing company they need to analyze the number of vehicles they will have to manufaure in the upcoming year or month. They wont be able to decide it immediately and easily because there are a lot many challenges like.............

And then each and every person of the organization could pull out the relevant data required by him and perform in a proper manner.

Implementing ERP will make the organization work on the same platform there wont be anything different by each of the department. there would be a business process which will understand the market needs and understand the #C of vehicles to be manufactured in the upcoming year and then the supply chain team which looks after the procurement of raw material and converting it to the finished goods will see to that the raw material vendor will provide the quality needed, within the time limit,etc.
