TJ Maxx employees generally start at minimum wage, unless you have an IMPRESSIVE history of retail experience. About once a year, managers and their employees go through what is called an "employee review". This review is a score based on the employee's ability to follow standards on: customer service, dress code, productivity, communication, etc. Based on the employee's final score, they then get their raise. ( a good score can get a raise as high as 30 cents, a bad score can get you a few pennies or no raise at all).
