The Titanic had 2 sisters Britannic and the Olimpic. So there was no twins, but rather three sisters. They Olimpic was the look alike of the Titanic. The Britanic would have looked alike if world war 1 had of not broke out. This is because the Britanic was purposed as a hospital ship by the government.

She had two twin ships, the Olympic and the Britannic.

The Olympic was actaully built before the Titanic and had already been inservice for over a year before disaster struck her sister vessel. She was more or less identical to her more famous sister, the only difference being that she was slightly smaller in length and not quite so luxuriously appointed (though very nearly so).

After the disaster, she was refitted to ensure that her protective double-hull encompassed the entire hull of the vessel (as oppose to just the keel), had double the number of lifeboats, and safety drills for all passengers travelling aboard her was mandatory on al voyages. She continued in service on the trans-Atlantic route up until 1935, earning the nickname 'Old Reliable', before being scrapped in Northern England due to the advance in popularity of oil-fired ships. There was a campaign to save her from scrappage, and even the breakers who had to dismantle her were reluctant to take on the job.

The Britannic was not built until a year after the Titanic went down, and was set to be the most luxurious and advanced superliner ever built yet. But no sooner had she been launched in 1914 than the First World War broke out, and she was immediately requisitioned as a hospital ship by the British Government before she could even be fitted out. She remained in service as such during the war against Turkey (an ally of Germany) until 21st November 1916, when she was sunk by an explosion caused either by a drifting mine or a torpedo fired by a German submarine. Most of those on board were evacuated safely, although about 28 people (mostly stokers and firemen from the engine rooms) died horribly as she went down. She currently lies in the Kea Channel off Greece, near Kea Island in some 400 feet of water- lying on her side, her bow is snapped off and lies at a grotesquely pointed-up angle to the rest of the vessel, but other than that she is entirely intact, even including her masts (her funnels were located seperately in 1995by Dr. Robert Ballard, famous discoverer of the Titanic, sheered off from the rest of ther ship but in remarkably good condition).

Her wreck was initiallydiscovered in 1975 by the French aquanaut Jaques Cousteau, who toured the ship in his 'bathescaphe' (a sort of sub-aqua flying saucer) accompanied by an elderly French lady who had been a nurse aboard the ship when she was in service, and was able to guide him around the vessel. In '96, the wreck was bought by the millionaire marine archaelologist Simon Mills, whose main objective was to prevent her from being raised as a Titanic associate and to protect the site as a war grave. Even although only 28 people died on her, she still remains their final resting place, and as such must be respected.

Her wreck is accessible to experienced Scuba divers, who have taken many hundreds of photogaphs of the ship, but salvage of artefacts from her is forbidden unless under special licence, in which case they have to be handed over to museums or specialist exhibition collections. Technically, it might be possible to raise her, as she lies only in 400ft of water and in calm seas, but this will not and should not ever be done- apart from the huge expense involved, respect for the deadmust take priority over all other factors in the situation.
