What is Wormwood used for?

Wormwood is an analgesic (pain reliever) when used in a salve. Good for arthritis, sore muscles, etc. Only use externally. It is also an excellent insect repellent when dried, and in the garden will deter pests that attack fruit trees, carrots, cabbage and onions.

The leaves are also used to make Absynth. This is the drink that is banned in the US for supposedly causing hallucinations, and was used by many writers in the 1800's to be more "creative". This distillation process is not easy nor is it recommended to try it.
