It is quite a popular park, located in Northern California, with famous spots such as Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, Glacier Point, Bridal Veil Falls, and Camp Wawona. Yosemite is filled with exquisite scenery. The valley has to be seen to be believed. Beyond the valley is the wilderness of the park. I have walked for days into the depths of the Sierras. Probably, the least visited part of the park is along Tioga Pass Rd. You can even see the back of Half Dome from there. Yosemite National Park is most famous for Half Dome. It is a granite slab rising abruptly out of the valley floor. There is a viewing area on the way up to Glacier Point that is worth the stop. There's an even better view if you hike the 7 mile trail to North Dome from Tioga Road.
